SANTA ANA – A former FBI informant has refiled an amended lawsuit against the FBI and the Irvine Police Department after having a previous suit tossed out.
Federal Judge James V. Selna had dismissed the former informant's suit against the two law enforcement agencies, but gave him 20 days to amend their complaint.

Craig Monteilh, a former fitness consultant who has said he was an informant for the FBI, filed a $10 million suit against the two law-enforcement agencies claiming that they violated his civil rights and endangered his life while conspiring to have him arrested on grand theft charges as he was working as an undercover informant.
