Peace be with you all - Alsallam alaykum
I feel I had to post this article, because some people have made it a career to spread missinfo, lies and pure propaganda, against a religion innocent of the crimes attributed to it.
Would it be fair to attack a religion for the actions of the followers ???
With most of major media and their targeting of Muslims and Islam, we must come to think,"wow. These are some crazy people and this religion Islam must be crazy as well ). How can that be though ?? It does not make any sense for the media to act in such a fashion, when history teaches us that far greater and WORST thing were done and they get brushed on as to have no significance to the religion itself.
With the logic the right wing demonstrates, it would be completely fair and ok to start blaming Christianity for many thing, alot of things, for example we can blame Christianity for dropping the nuclear bombs on the two Japanese cities which killed not 3000, but more then 300,000 innocent people. Very tragic event that should NEVER be repeated EVER again. Hey America is known as a proud christian nation, so technically Christianity did it, right ?
Yet, to me it's irrational to blame Christianity for that, but I guess if i thought like the right wing is thinking, then those people deserved it for not being christian to begin with, never mind the Japanese attacking pearl harbor. Fundies to the max and I know they sound familiar, we have our own version of right wingers and just as they are bound to lose, so will the christian version as well.
Now I hope I'm getting my point across here. I wished to simply point out that It's wrong to blame a religion for the actions of the follower. I know for a fact such actions are actually not tolerated in the bible.
If jesus peace be with him said "you must LOVE your enemy for If you love those who love you, then what the REWARD in that". Love your enemy (we should always keep that in mind) and Islam is not even an enemy, I would consider it a close family member to Christianity.
I believe that in times of desperation, human beings do crazy things, even the smartest ones.
Now from a Technical point of view on why Islam and Christianity are innocent of these actions.
The 9/11 act was not associated with Islam, because you won't find anything in the Quran that specifically teaches to highjack planes and fly them into towers.
And the nuclear dropping was not associated with Christianity, because you won't find anything in the Bible that specifcally teaches to drop nuclear bombs on cities.
There is a significant difference, between peoples own actions and the faith they follow.
The faith can indeed have influence, but the follower almost all the times acts out of their OWN intentions.
